Welcome to the Hamilton Centre of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
We are a multidisciplinary team including psychologists and social workers.
All therapists have received specialized training in cognitive behaviour therapy.
Dr. McCabe is a Registered Clinical Psychologist. She is the Director of the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic and Psychologist-in-Chief at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. She is also a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University where she is the CBT Anxiety Module Coordinator for the Postgraduate Psychiatry Psychotherapy Program.
Dr. Boyd is a registered Clinical Psychologist. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at McMaster University in 2019 and her residency at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic, Mood Disorders Program, and Community Psychiatry Clinic. Dr. Gardizi is a Registered Psychologist in the province of Ontario, with a specialization in the practice of clinical neuropsychology and clinical psychology with adults and seniors. He received his Honours Bachelor of Science with a major in Neuroscience and minors in Psychology and Biology from the University of Toronto.
Dr. Grant is a Registered Clinical Psychologist who provides CBT to adults with mood, anxiety, and alcohol- and substance-related disorders.
Raha Hassan is a PhD Candidate in McMaster’s Clinical Psychology program who is clinically supervised by Dr. Randi McCabe. She has experience treating individuals with various anxiety, anxiety-related, trauma, and mood disorders.

Dr. Holshausen is a Registered Clinical Psychologist. She specializes in mood and anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder/complex trauma, and emotion regulation difficulties. Dr. Holshausen also works as a staff psychologist and Research Director of the Community Psychiatry Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.

Dr. Merrifield is a Registered Clinical Psychologist (University of Waterloo) and completed her residency at the University of Ottawa and the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. She has experience providing cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and related therapies (mindfulness, emotion regulation skills, assertiveness training) and has worked in a range of outpatient and inpatient settings.

In addition to his role at the HCCBT, Dr. Schneider holds a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Lindsay Szota received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2017 from the University of Western Ontario. Her graduate research focused on predictors of negative thinking styles in depression.
