Melodie Biray is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She received a Master of Social Work Degree at the University of Toronto’s Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. She has experience utilizing multiple evidence-based cognitive behavioural interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. She uses a trauma-informed approach and tailors interventions to meet each client’s unique needs.
Melodie has experience working with adults with multiple concerns, including anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, substance use, relationships, stress, crisis, postpartum and work-based stress. She works full-time as a social worker at the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, conducting intake assessments and referring clients to treatment.
Melodie is passionate about supporting others in their journeys of meaningful change. She values genuine relationships with her clients through collaboration and provides a space that celebrates self-determination and empowerment in her clients. Melodie believes her clients are in the driver’s seat as they are the experts of their lives. She engages by guiding them in their journey for a more fulfilling life.
