Dr. Jenny Hewitt is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She has over 10 years of experience providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for adults and adolescents with anxiety and mood-related concerns.
Dr. Hewitt completed her B.Sc. at the University of Western Ontario in London, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. She then completed her pre-doctoral residency at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, specializing in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders. Currently, in addition to her role at the HCCBT, she holds positions as a psychologist at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare and an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. She is actively involved in supervising and training other professionals in CBT at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.
At the HCCBT, Dr. Hewitt provides CBT for adults and adolescents with a range of presenting concerns including anxiety disorders (social anxiety, panic, generalized anxiety, specific phobia), obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, depression, eating disorders, and related issues including low self esteem, stress, and relationship concerns. Dr. Hewitt is committed to providing evidence-based treatment in a safe and trusting environment.
