Dr. Christina Puccinelli (she/her) is a registered Clinical Psychologist (in supervised practice), who is being supervised by Dr. Peter Bieling. She has experience providing assessment and treatment to adults (18+) experiencing anxiety and mood-related concerns. This includes a range of concerns such as OCD (obsessions and compulsions), generalized anxiety/excessive worry, social anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, agoraphobia, health anxiety, stress, perfectionism, and low mood/motivation, and depression.
Christina is trained in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and integrates other evidence-based modalities including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and skills from dialectical behaviour therapy as needed. She takes a client-centred approach and strives to create a non-judgmental and collaborative relationship to support clients in reaching their goals.
Christina completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at McMaster University in 2024 and her Pre-Doctoral Residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto. Prior to this, she completed her training at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton in the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic and the Youth Wellness Centre.
In addition to her role at the HCCBT, she is a psychologist (in supervised practice) at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton in the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic and Mood Disorders Treatment and Research Clinic.
