Briar Inness is a PhD Candidate in Clinical Psychology at McMaster University, who is supervised by Dr. Randi McCabe. She has experience treating individuals with anxiety and related concerns, women’s health concerns, mood disorders, chronic pain, and insomnia through the Women’s Health Concerns Clinic, Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic, Sleep Medicine Clinic and Pain Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Briar is trained in the provision of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Briar’s Ph.D. research focuses on anxiety experienced during pregnancy and the postpartum (perinatal) period, with particular interest in the behavioural features of generalized anxiety disorder during the perinatal period.
