Dr. Marisa Murray received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa in 2018 and completed her pre-doctoral residency at the Centre for Psychological Services and Research. During her clinical training, she gained experience in a variety of settings including private practice, a hospital, outpatient clinics, and schools, where she provided individual and group therapy and conducted comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Murray has been trained in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, which include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Mindfulness.
At HCCBT, Dr. Murray provides psychological services to adolescents (ages 13+) and adults who experience depression, anxiety (generalized, specific phobia, social, panic), obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship conflict, emotion dysregulation, work/school stress, sleep difficulties, body image concerns, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and attention-deficit/hyperactive behaviours. Dr. Murray uses a client-centered, strength-based approach grounded in CBT. She is committed to creating a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment and fostering positive and lasting life changes.
